SCAM artists are offering bogus covid-19 tests and fake ‘covid free’ certificates, Warwickshire residents have been warned.

Warwickshire Trading Standards is investigating a case in which a consumer may have unwittingly paid over £100 to fraudsters for a ‘quick-turn-around’ covid-19 test and received a fake ‘all-clear’ certificate in return.

There's also an email scam telling you that you're eligible for a vaccination next week, but they need proof of your address for the records. Please provide your banking details as they know they are regularly checked and up to date!

Incidentally, I had a letter from the NHS this morning suggesting that I ought get a flu jab, especially with all this covid in circulation. To be honest, it seemed rather desperate and a poor attempt at manipulation. It went in the bin!

I dare say I will be receiving a letter soon. Hoping I've gone off their (NHS) radar as I ignored it last time.
