For the ancient Greeks, chaos was the void that existed before the creation of the world and everything in it. Greece is the cradle of our civilization and is now on an accelerating spiral back down into chaos.
Nobody pretends the Greeks haven't made mistakes, but the actions of the EU 4th Reich is now hell bent on ensuring that the Greeks will get flushed down the pan and the cradle of our culture disappear from the planet for ever.
We have all seen the horrific scenes over the last couple of weeks, with Athens in flames, but I can assure you it is only the tip of the iceberg. Most young people are out of work, the elderly lack food and the hospitals are being overwhelmed and cannot afford to treat people because they have no money for drugs.
In particular, Germany, Holland and Finland are imposing on the Greeks impossible burdens, infact contrary to the propaganda in the press, Greece has met many of its financial targets at the cost of enormous social dislocation. However, German, Finland and Holland want more blood. They are asking for 300 million of extra savings , despite the fact that the German economy is booming , paid for off the backs of those least able to pay, ie. the southern Euro States.
The Germans want collateral, or is that Anschluss or take over of Greek land and property.
I am trying to get together a petition to call and immediate boycott of buying all German , Finnish and Dutch products . I would be grateful if everybody could consider not buying any German , Dutch or Finnish products. I feel strongly about this and certainly a lot of my friends are in agreement.

I read Matthew Parris's article today in The Times.
The people are starving literally and someone has to help them. Germany and the others are hell bent on punishing these so called 'lazy' people and allowing their country to be destroyed.. Lazy because they 'brought it upon themselves' and are now queueing for food. The cuts have crippled the country.what else are they to do.?
Well, the Germans are not well known for their altruism are they, so it's up to us to do our best for the Greeks., This is famine and maybe not on so big a scale as Africa, and look how we react to that.
also its only up the road , as it were.
We should be doing the same here. Money is always there for lesser emergencies. and as we have seen in our country lately,, to be wasted.
What a pity there is no oil there....we'd all be there like a shot.
Cameron sits on the fence afraid to be out of favour with anyone . Like a dog with no teeth.

Look at the mixup we are in here. With all of our cuts and more to come we could be the next Greece.
Makes one wonder who'd help us especially as we are not a euro country, and we've no oil to speak of.

Can I suggest that you spread the word to your friends to boycott German and Dutch products and write to your locall MP. That's what I had in mind.

I second this- I don't tend to buy anything German, Dutch or Finnish anyway but I'll make a concerted effort to make sure I don't from here on. As for writing to the local MP- he's got a pile of my jottings already with regards to the NHS debacle. He may find a change in my topic refreshing!

I agree, no more of their foods....beware of the fish . make sure you are told where it comes from.
Also I dont see why this country can't send food to Greece to alleviate the ordinary person's problem.
We have more than enough for our needs .
I used to collect foodstuffs and medicines for Romania during their major crisis, taking them to points around the city where it was loaded on to borrowed lorries to be distributed in Romania.
People always rise to the occcasion and are extremely generous.and we are rich in philanthropists to providde transport.
The situation is desperate there and needs to be dealt with now. If it is left to politics it will be too late for many.Politicians squabbling about how the Goverment spent the money or wasted it, which was aimed at baling out Greece is immaterial at this time. People matter.

Yes Cathidaw- its the peole that matter- they are the ones suffering. I heard earlier today that Greece is getting the bail out with EU monies- I just hope it goes where it is most needed- to the people starving and desperate. I rather think it may be put toward paying off the debts though.
