Some days I think a plate of mashed potatoes with gravy would do me. Tesco do bubble & squeak , which really is nice with onions and cabbage, that served with gravy would do me fine. though I do like a bit of Mackerel or Haddock once a week.
You probably have noticed I haven't had lamb or pork or beef, for many years. I've never really liked lamb. I used to cook a nice beef stew when my son was living with us , as he is a working lad, but for me, I didn't have any, or very little. Don't miss it.
When I do have meat its either chicken or turkey. You won't get fat in my house! :D

I love stews/casseroles. My dad used to make a super lamb stew with neck of lamb, I've never been able to make one as good.

Not as unadventurous as me for tonight. Hot dogs after walking the dog and a few pints in the local. I'll make up and cook my kebab meat overnight for tomorrow.

eggs... curry powder... Made me think of savoury eggs. Basically hardboiled eggs with the yolks removed and mashed with some curry powder, mayonnaise, salt/pepper, mashed together, stuff the mix back into the eggs with a piping bag or spoon, sprinkle with a bit of paprika and parsley to garnish as well. - Nice memories.

Caribbean beef and rice for tonight. Possibly followed by a rhubarb crumble if I can be bothered to make it.

Not thought that far ahead but it will probably be a simple affair that doesn't require heating the flat up by long cooking processes :-P

Bacon, broad beans and bacon for tonight. - Looking forward to it.

Instead of rhubarb crumble last night, I made some water biscuits and had them with a few pieces of cheese. Rounded off the Caribbean beef very nicely.

I'm off out for a couple of pints this afternoon. I've just set the slow-cooker going with homemade kebab meat. That is going to be a very welcoming smell to come home to.

I was intending to have it with tomato soda bread, but since it's a little cooler today I think I'll have it with chips and chilli sauce. I'll review the tomato soda bread idea tomorrow.
