I may be a bit behind the times and unaware that the computer gaming is a vital part of Leamington's economy! So I was roundly told off in a local group for saying that I didn't see what was cultural about computer gaming. ''Computing gaming is one of the major industries of Leamington Spa and is a highly creative business sector that contributes to the local economy and is a form of culture. I believe that Leamington is home to more computer gaming companies than anywhere else in the UK. Do not denigrate it even if some of us don't use it. Don't be elitist about culture. Any such investment in Leamington should be welcomed. This looks like a discussion idea at the moment and we should all contribute our ideas. Great to see the council taking the lead for once'' http://www.leamingtoncourier.co.uk/news/local-news/multi-million-pound-plans-to-create-cultural-hub-in-leamington-1-6445169

Well, I wouldn't see it as 'culture' either but I'm a dinosaur and words tend to evolve over time.
But, Leamington is well known for computer games creation and if it brings in employment and money to the area, great. However, I find the idea of more food businesses in Leamington rather amusing.
What areas need are services/products that can be exported to other areas thus bringing in fresh additional money, not simply recirculating money that is already there.

I hope to see the town return to its former glory, but I reckon £10 million is peanuts for an such an adventurous project .

Here is the New Shopping complex named the Hide, with apartments above , ready by August this year. I do like what they have done but the apartments are very highly priced. Wish I knew the cost of the whole project. https://fb.watch/2F6qYtNK04/I think it may be a bit premature to say it is a true success story.

A good job has been done on that building. It looks like it's on Warwick Street?
