TRAINS between Leamington and Nuneaton have been reduced due to the impact of coronavirus. Passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys as the weekday service will now run once every two hours instead of every hour. Rail replacement transport will operate to replace the trains which are unable to run. The change follows staffing levels which have been impacted by covid 19. West Midlands Railway spokesman Jonny Wiseman said: “Since the start of the pandemic one in three of our staff have been unable to come into work at one time or another due to covid 19. “We know how important it is to run a reliable service, which is why we are taking this step now, rather than attempting to run the timetable without enough train crew, potentially leading to unwanted late-notice cancellations.
