Visitors to one of Warwickshire’s most historic landmarks will soon be able to enjoy a brand new coffee with a local twist.
Coughton Court, the 600-year-old Tudor country house near Alcester, has teamed up with award-winning Stratford-upon-Avon coffee roasters Monsoon Estates to launch its very own branded coffee.
The new blend will be served exclusively in the estate’s café as part of a wider refresh marking the property’s return to family management.
Managed by the National Trust since 2005, Coughton Court will see the day-to-day running of the estate handed back to the Throckmorton family, who have lived there for more than six centuries.
Magnus and Imogen Birch Throckmorton will officially take over management in February 2026.
Magnus Birch Throckmorton said: “Our new café will serve fresh, locally sourced food and drinks, and working with the great team at Monsoon Estates is another way we’re keeping things local and celebrating the very best that Warwickshire has to offer.
“The Monsoon team shares our passion for quality and sustainability, and we’ve loved learning about the roasting process and creating our own blend. We’re so excited to introduce visitors to Coughton Coffee.”
Chris Howard, owner of Monsoon Estates, added: “We’ve loved working with the team at Coughton Court, and we can’t wait for visitors to enjoy a sip during a visit to this fantastic property.”
The collaboration is part of the Throckmortons’ wider commitment to supporting local producers and businesses as they prepare to take the reins from the National Trust.
While the Trust will continue to care for and preserve the property, the Throckmortons will oversee daily operations, ensuring the estate’s legacy continues to thrive in the heart of Warwickshire.
