I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see it happening. My bet is we'll buy 'off the peg' as we have in the past. - Look at the Nimrod fiasco, and if you want to go further back, take a look at TSR2.
I might be wrong, but I think the last aircraft we designed and built on our own was the BAe Hawk.
