Karren Brady, a star of the BBC’s Apprentice series, has effectively ruled out a future in elected public life, in a blow to Tory leader David Cameron. In an interview, the millionaire businesswoman said she did not want to be an MP, or replace Boris Johnson as Mayor of London. The news is a blow to the Conservatives who have been trying to persuade Miss Brady to run as an MP in 2015.
