The Yanks never seem to learn that bombing the s*** out of somewhere never solves their 'problems': https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4g0pnnj8xyo

War rarely solves anything. People die, infrastructure gets destroyed... Then there's the rapid rise in prices and people making money from rebuilding!

The worrying escalation seems to be that Iran is spitting out ordnance in an almost random way. What has Dubai done to receive its missiles? I also read a report earlier that Iran was threatening to unleash ever more 'last chance' devices as their supplies ran down. Could they possibly be prepared to use partially developed 'dirty' bombs?

I also worry about Starmer's handling of the situation. Not just that he's snubbed the US, but how he'll act with the inevitable outflow from the usual protest groups in this country. We have a fair few Iraqis over here and a fair few more supporters of that regime!

I've recently written a review on 'Tanker War In The Gulf', which was in the 80s. I quoted a couple of lines from the book in my review..."Rule one: People die in war, and rule two, you can’t change rule one. That is shortly followed up with Plato’s remark: only the dead have seen the end of war." Sad, but rather accurate.

I used to work in the military/arms industry; I'm really not sure that my conscience would allow me to do so these days. - Maybe it's just an ageing process?

Stammer seems to have backed down from his original stance of not allowing the American's to launch missions from Britich airfields - he must be really desperate to get screwed over by Trump in the trade deal he's 'negotiating'.

Having looked at my investments this morning, I'm getting screwed over!

I see Trump has 'told' Starmer to start drilling in the North Sea again, in order to alleviate the short-term price rises coming from this little spat.

I've also read reports that the US can only supply munitions for their task force for about 2 weeks. - The ramifications of that are...

God almighty. This looks like one of Trump's more impulsive moments, reminiscent of Dubya Bush's 'Let's bomb the cr** out of Afghanistan'. Just start shooting everything, and worry about the details later.

Looks like the UK's being dragged into the mess, whether we like it or not, by sending a ship to help defend Cyprus: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4g40yp2p13o

I'm concerned, but not surpriesd, that only half our Type 45 Destroyers are currently seaworthy.

Edit. France is sending a ship, and even Greece as agreed to send a couple of boats. The UK really is turning into a s*****ow: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... -Iran.html

We are being shown up on the world stage. We had plenty of warning about what was building up; that ship should have been underway at least a week ago.

I've heard today that planning has been underway for a couple of weeks. Bit of a shame that that others beat us to the action stage.

The idea of sending the PoW carrier without adequate support/defence ships is the height of stupidity. - I expect little else from our idiot leader.

I also feel extremely sorry for our brave forces who will do their level best with inadequate and insufficient kit, yet worry that once this is over, may face the courts for doing their job. Prosecuted by the likes of Starmer and Hermer.

And I've just read that Trump's thinking of ending the war (from the US side), leaving the Straits closed!

I'll believe it when it happens - Trump's been saying the war's nearly over for weeks. He seems to have even less of a plan than when the Bush's started kicking off.

The blundering Orange Baboon has bitten off more than he can chew. He needs to go hide in a cave somewhere.

Even the Yanks are getting fed up of him - support for the bombing in USA is barely 50%

Someone pointed out to me the other day that this all seems happening to be to divert attention away from The Fart's connections to Epstein.
