Worrying. Is it the deprivation or is it that they're more likely to be seeking help?

I was thinking more along the lines of poverty and associated poor diet. I'm realising more and more that it's often a lot cheaper to eat badly than it is to eat properly.

It certainly is, Lex.

Processed foods, fast foods... How do they do it for the price? If I was skint, I'd likely be doing the same.

Saying that, I made myself a cheap meal last night I picked up from an Italian cooking programme. It's basically (all own brand): pasta, a small tin of chopped tomatoes, and a small tin of mackerel fillets (although the recipe uses anchovies). The whole thing cost just over £1, taking in the amount of pasta shells I used.

Sadly, many wouldn't do that.

In fact, that looks an interesting meal to build on ;)

Yes, it does have a lot of potential, and only takes 10 minutes to prepare & cook.
