We were walking to Hatton from Warwick (Antelope Gardens) area which isn't an ideal route for walkers but we did it, about 2 and a half miles.. The route on footpath is of course is following alongside the Birmingham Rd. which is insanely busy, It is very narrow two lanes traffic and never was made for the heavy traffic off today, we also noted that they are building more housing which is which will contribute more insanity to the already heavy traffic along the Birmingham road. There is road works by the Shell Garage and frustrating traffic chaos and delays which I think will be ongoing for till the end of November maybe longer. Then once off the main road into Hatton it is peace and quiet.
Apparently my son said there is an underpass somewhere along the way for walkers, but we must have missed it.

You're braver than me Margaret, I wouldn't walk that stretch of road. I've walked along the canal there, that's some trek I can tell you.
Can't say I've heard of an underpass there. Maybe call up a couple of Google searches and maps?

The company wanting to redevelop the Allesley Hotel in Coventry did a good job - the interior's been gutted by fire (twice), and the whole building will have to be pulled down: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cly2dvnnd67o

I think that was used to house illegals, hence the burning.
