Complete waste of time. People aren't visiting pubs like they used to due to the prices.
All this joke will do is add to the pub running costs (wages, lighting, heating, etc!) Many landlords won't take advantage of it because they can't afford it.
I think we can expect to see pubs continue to close.

Yeah, the gocernment will end up doing an Arkwright - take a few pennies off here, and add them back on somewhere else (ie, the expexted further tax rises next month).
