I thought I'd open a thread for anyone who does crosswords, like me who needs a bit of help, I do easy ones, but still get challenged.
Today I have a tricky crossword clue that I can't get it as I am not familiar with darts.
The question is - What is a darts line?


I resist looking it up, as it is more fun discussing and sharing with members I think.

Thanks Rebbonk, what are the different lines where you stand to throw the darts, why are they different lengths ?

One will be the World Darts Federation line (7 ft 9 1⁄4 in)
One will likely be the National Dart Association (8 ft)
Others may well be due to local variations, including a womans' line.

There are also different ways of measuring the distances, including the diagonal distance to the Bulls Eye.

I'm by no means a darts aficionado (although I used to be a mean player in my teens) so someone more involved with the sport might be able to add more

If you could add the number of letters and any that you think you already have it might help.
