Suspects arrested across Coventry in pre Christmas crackdown
Officers were deployed in Hillfields and on Broadgate

Police have made a number of arrests in a citywide crackdown in the run-up to Christmas. Officers detained people on suspicion of blackmail, possession of a weapon, and shoplifting.

Officers and PCSOs were deployed in the city on Thursday, December 19. Cops targeted shoplifting, antisocial behaviour, and bike theft in the city centre, West Midlands Police said.

Teams offered free bike marking on Broadgate and enforced the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) with Coventry BID. Officers also patrolled Hillfields, issuing tickets alongside traffic wardens from Coventry City Council.
