I don't know Nuneaton that well, but from the posts on WOL, it sounds like the town could do with this facelift: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-coventry-warwickshire-46178349

Sounds a lot of money, but in reality it won't go far.

I have never liked Nuneaton-it gives me uncomfortable nasty vibes. But- years ago it was quite a dirty miserable place.smelling of gas and decay. Now, the shopping area is modern - well-modern in a sense that it looks like everywhere else -Best two things about it is the excellent market....And the road out. I still get that feeling.

If they do it'll be the first time ever! Yet another opportunity for their publicity obsessed CEO to get her cute picture in the local press?

My mum was born on Abbey Street.
Seriously, does Nuneaton require a hotel in the position? There's plenty around the outskirts.

I think we're going to see a lot more of this!

That might not be the original purpose, Margaret, but it could well end up being the case!

The words 'behind closed doors' never resonate well with me.

I suspect the council didn't get the best end of the deal.
