I remember it quite well. (My Mother's family come from Nuneaton.) From memory it looked an awful lot worse than it turned out to be. Only about 6 lives were lost IIRC?
But how the rescue teams (and not just in this case) get over what they see I'll never know. I guess that I'm grateful that they do a job that I know I couldn't.

That does look a crumpled mess. Sad for the 6 who lost their lives and it's a miracle no more were killed.
