Bilton School closed today after staff target of 'extremist abuse' following Union flag dress row

Bilton School has been forced to close early for the summer after receiving “extremist abuse” threats over the Union flag dress row.

Staff have received personal threats after the story broke about 12-year-old Courtney Wright's not being allowed to wear her Spice Girl style dress to its culture celebration last Friday.

A letter to parents today (Friday), also on the Bilton School website, said it is closing "in the interests of student and staff safety" following threats.

What an utter disgrace to the school, and badly managed 'Culture Celebration Day'. in my view.. the Headmaster ought to be sacked. There could have been better ways for pupils to celebrate their culture, and including Britishness. Other pupils were sent home for being supposedly inappropriately dressed. They should all have been included and enjoy the whole experience.

I am sick of this touchy Woke crap! I read that we may be fined if we fly or display a Union Jack now.
We might cause offence to the emotionally insecure cry babies and make them feel isolated or something.
What if the have to go fight in a war for goodness sake!

You are, of course, completely correct.

I believe there is an online petition to remove the Head for this disgraceful episode.
