Good, but let's not forget there are abused males as well as females. - But that of course, that is a taboo subject in many areas. |

It’s a huge issue but government support is not increasing in line with need and doesn’t focus on preventative work'' That does seem a very high proportion of violence occurring in the home, I am shocked ! I wonder whether drink and drugs plays a large part, which is worrying. |

From my own (admittedly limited experience) drink and drugs do play a very large part in domestic violence. A couple I used to talk to whilst waiting in the chippy after a night out were always drunkenly arguing. One night she stormed off. She was found dead next day, he was found dead in Wales (I think) a couple of days later. I know of quite a few similar cases. |
