Another container for waste collection: https://www.stratford-herald.com/news/welcome-to-the-world-of-food-caddies-9245006/

All my food waste goes in the compost bin on my allotment, but an extra bucket is always useful.....

I never got one! Coventry delivered these a few years back, but for some reason couldn't find my place. - Oddly enough, when it comes to bills, they manage to find me.

Surprisingly, there's delays in getting the new bins: https://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news/new-bin-deliveries-delayed-in-stratford-district/

The cuncillor in charge of bin collections has resigned after only 3 weeks in the job. Sounds to me like people were getting p***ed off at being micro-managed: https://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news/stratford-council-chief-steps-down-following-tension-over-bin-collections/

I wonder what qualifications or experience she had that made her suitable for this role in the first place? My bet is that like many councillors, she was out of her depth.

And therein lies one of the biggest problems with local councils. They employ good (often expensive) people to do jobs who are then left answering to elected councillors who have no real idea of how things work. A little knowledge can be dangerous!

I still haven't got a food bin, and none of my neighbors seem to bother putting theirs' out (those who've got them!), so I'm wondering where all this waste food comes from: https://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news/new-waste-collection-service-in-stratford-and-warwick-districts-hailed-a-success-42332/

Lex, I only use one bin. It goes out once a month.

To me, it all looks like a pointless, overcomplicated system designed(!) by the councils to make them look good.

I suspect that at some point in the future they will attempt to fine those that are flouting their illogical, and unfathomable, rules.

I sometimes think of just dumping my rubbish outside the council offices, and let them sort it out.
