It'll be a rushed affair due to Bozza's build, build, build, policies and the usual checks will be omitted. We are entering very dangerous waters as regards development.

I saw something about canal side borders in Birmingham to provide corridors for wildlife. it's a great idea, but guess we will have to wait and see what comes out of it. Maybe they will start charging people to walk along the canals...

I don't think charging is viable. But I believe there has been talk of using towpaths for internet cabling?

I too love a walk along the canal. Sadly, these days it's all too often spoiled by cyclists who have no respect for others. Scrapping the towpatch cycle permit was a backward step in my opinion.
