I'd say Nuneaton/Bedworth forms the largest conurbation.

Rugby seems a fair size, though, although it's not particularly built up.

Anyway thats rugby borough optrex, as is North Warwickshire borough and Nuneaton and Beduf Borough.

Thats what made me ask actually, because I looked at an article and it said Nuneaton is the biggest town in Warwickshire, and I though what?...no way, then looked further and found this.

There are no cities in Warwickshire since both Coventry and Birmingham were incorporated into the West Midlands county in 1974. The largest towns in Warwickshire as of 2004 are: Nuneaton (pop. 77,500), Rugby (62,700), Leamington Spa (45,300), and Bedworth (32,500). Stratford, Warwick, and Kenilworth all house populations in excess of 20,000 inhabitants, while the smaller towns of Atherstone, Alcester, Coleshill, Southam, Bulkington, Polesworth, Kingsbury, Henley-in-Arden, Studley, and Shipston have populations between 5,000 and 12,000.

I thought that must be wrong but it doesn't look like it is. I'm shocked. Nuneaton has to be one of the lower in the hierachy and the poorest along with bedworth but it's the biggest.

I've developed quite a liking for Shipston after spending a few days working there at the beginning of the year. There's all the shops you need, plus it's still got that small town feeling that Stratford lost years ago.

I have to be honest. Where I live is dictated to by economics and the fact that I haven't got a car, need to commute to work by train and also need to be able to walk to nearby amenities. I guess that without living in Birmingham my options would be Nuneaton or Coventry. For choice, I would be living in a village or even in the countryside, but the availability of a regular train service to Birmingham probably isn't going to happen so, Nuneaton it is. There are more trains running to Birmingham from Coventry and covering a wider time frame, but I might have a bit of walk to the station. I know there are buses that go to the town centre from Nuneaton but not a fan of walking through the subway from the city centre to the station or vice versa at night time. I don't even like standing outside the front of Coventry station later at night waiting for a taxi. I feel more than a tad uneasy.
