I maybe guilty of scepticism but, even IF fracking produces cheaper energy I can't see our energy bills being any lower for it. More likely some pockets will be lined.

Whilst it is true that countries are benefitting from the fracking, is this not a case of living for the moment and never mind about the future or any impact on the environment?

I remember the promises about North Sea gas. - it didn't happen and the various governments squandered any profits.
