I'm generally if favour of wind farms, but can see why this one was turned down; what does everyone else think of them?

I'm against wind turbines because the wind is far too unpredictable and unreliable. I also think they're ugly looking and noisy.

I'm against fracking because the evidence I've seen so far it looks like we might cause permanent damage to the underlying structure of the country. We've already had a couple of minor earth tremors directly attributed to fracking here in the UK.

If we want sustainable, predictable "green" power, then to me the only way to go is using the sea. Tides are completely predictable and it's quite possible with strategically placed wave capture farms around the coast to provide sustainable, predictable results and cheap electricity.

The second way is very useful where we have big differences in tidal levels

Some sense on both good and bad about fracking. I believe the bottom line is that there are too many unknowns.

Fracking in large countries like the U.S./ Australia, is usually carried out on greater expanses of countrywhere no-one lives, much larger than anywhere we have in these isles. Therefore any
land disturbances are lessened eg earth tremors/earthquakes. Not enough is known about them to prove them safe enough near highly populated towns.
Hence the worries about the Blackpool 'movements'.
