Not for the 1st time either: https://www.warwickshireworld.com/news/ ... be-5495699

I suppose it's inevitable when an inexperienced kid is put in charge of something.

Another councillor has had to step down as chairman of WCC, and resign the Reform whip. Obviously, it's a party full of reputable characters: https://stratfordobserver.co.uk/news/wa ... ord-60105/

To be fair, Lex, I think most of the parties have some undesirables in them. What will be interesting to see is if Reform purges its undesirables, whereas we've seen the established parties cover up for theirs.

Time will tell!

Yeah, every party has its skeletons - and they wonder why people are cynical about politics. It just seems to me that Reform seems to be taking on sleazebags above their quota.

And maybe the media have got it in for Reform too.

Reform was let down by its vetting agency, and as it's still a relatively new party, maybe things are not as robust as they might be. The established parties have no such excuse.

I'm concerned that Reform is taking on so many ex-tories, but I recognise that as a new party, they need expertise in handling how the governmental machine works. Also, taking on sitting MPs gives them a higher profile in Westminster and allows the party access to public funding.

Whether Reform is the answer to the state that the country is in, I don't know. But could they actually do worse than what we've seen in recent years?

It'll be intersting to see. One thing I've learned over the years, though, is that rock bottom often has a basement.

To be fair, that was a while ago. I doubt he'll do it again, although in this case I do have certain sympathies with him.

Survived by 1 vote.

https://leamingtonobserver.co.uk/news/warwickshires-coun-george-finch-survives-vote-of-no-confidence-60741/

Hopefully, the spiteful b*st*rds that called for this will now get their comeuppance!

Could be problems for Cllr Finch in the future if the council is split down the middle.
