I suspect any independent inquiry would find wrongdoing. But whatever happens, the long-suffering decent folk of this city are going to end up picking up the bill. Councillors, I've sh*t 'em. Nobody should be allowed to stand for election with an IQ of less than 110!

Who will pay for it? Very likely this group...
".. the long-suffering decent folk of this city are going to end up picking up the bill."
Am not sure where the long-suffering decent folk will find the shortfall. Many are already struggling to keep heads above water. Another add on to their current payments would be disasterous as they are already juggling budgets to rob Peter and pay Paul. It needs to come from some other source.

Whichever way you look at it Shizara, it'll come out of our pockets.
Government and councils have no money of their own, they only have what they take from us, and as ours is usually stopped at source we are the ones that get hammered. The system is rigged against the great majority.
