There's going to be some kind of forum on the Warwickshire Bus routes in Warwick. As someone who'd like to use public transport if it were even remotely convenient for me, I might go along myself. Don’t miss the bus when having your say on transport

Still no service to Hatton Park. I can still live in hope.

A couple of services are being cut due to lack of passengers: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cwy81g58knxo

People are gradually being forced out of their cars and onto public transport. Cutting services is not the answer; organising them smarter is.
I'm very lucky. Bus services run by me about every 10 minutes. If I were to use a car to go into the city centre, after I'd paid for fuel and parking, I'd be heavily out of pocket. Even time-wise, the bus is quicker as it goes right into the centre. If the powers that be are serious about emissions, etc., they need to provide services as good as I get.
One of the tutors on my MBA had previously done a survey/report on bus services to outlying Warwickshire villages. IIRC, he sold it to a bus company for a paltry £50. It's a real shame they didn't pay more attention to it. One of his ideas was to use smaller buses (Transit sized) for the less well used services. But these buses could also double up on other services for the quieter times of the day. In fact, I seem to remember Stagecoach doing something similar a few years back, but they have since discontinued the practice.
At one stage, Coventry had all but done away with double-decker buses. I see that they are making a comeback in electric form, but I have yet to see one anywhere near full!
