I was idly looking through Amazon last night when I came across an interesting DVD. Problem was, it was coded region 1 whereas the UK is region 2, hence wouldn't play on my player. 5 minutes of googling, 15 minutes of faffing about, and my DVD player is now region free!
For some reason, I thought regional DVDs had been abandoned years ago. I was wrong, but generally, DVDs from abroad are cheaper.
Possibly worth thinking about if you are a movie buff?

Great tip, Rebbonk. I'll have to see if my DVD player does the same.
