Whilst I love dogs, I find all of this rather silly. A dog is an animal, one step away from being wild. Although we can be friends and companions, it is wise to remember this fact.
A lot of dogs are killed by 'kindness'!

Unfortunately, sentimentality takes over and owners like to spoil their Little Hoomans. Business has twigged onto this, and has seen an opportunity to make some money.
