The way see posts marked as read or unread should now work better. This was previously cookie based which causes problems, this info is now stored on the database. This puts a higher load on the server, but hopefully we shall see no difference.
By default this should also solve the problem of not being taken to the latest post in a thread you've aldready viewed.

Will, now that the mark read has been removed from cookie based, can you reduce the activity timeout? I think you have it set at 60 mins, so you dont get a real idea of who is online atm.
Cookies and HTTP Header Options --> 300 should be fine, 600 at a push
