Sure, there are lots of people in their 50's who want to back into work and earn the minimum wage and all the other inconveniences of work as well. Who knows how many people there must be, and even in their 40's who are looking after elderly parents, or are disabled , or cannot work for whatever reason. And transport will take up quite a bit of whatever they earn, and rail prices no doubt going up to deal with the strike.

Things would be a bit tight, even without having to travel, sadly.

It's easier than you might think when considering the costs you rack up going to work.

I'd happily retire tomorrow if I could afford it.

I'm going to be hammered on income tax, but at least proper beer isn't going up: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-64964911
