Hi Dave,

The Town House restaurant in Stratford opened a few months ago. I know for a fact they have a piano in the bar area, and I think it's comfortably quiet during the week. You get a lot of people in there pretending to be rich, but they're all pretty harmless. :)

You are not being too picky at all. I think you will find likeminded people here that are not fans of music in pubs that is so loud you have to shout to be heard.

I don't personally know of any bars that have that type of music. The local bars where I live seem to specialise in eardrum numbing music. There is another thread here where this very subject came up. Will find it and post it here for you.

There you go, 2 pages to it.

Hi Shizara, Sorry I should have been clearer. Ideally I'm looking for a nice quiet coffee bar or something similar that has a Piano that i can play... Also I would like to be able to go somewhere that offers good music (Jazz etc) thats not full of kids getting drunk and I can hear myself think or have a convo without needing to shout! LOL tell me if i'm being too picky? ;-)

thanks again

I get two messages, perhaps you can help me with them. On the one hand I get the impression you are looking for somewhere like a Jazz bar or quiet piano bar / late night coffee house for your enjoyment, then on the other I hand you are ideally looking for a nice, quiet place late in the evening to play the piano or listen to some good music. Am I to gather from that you are a musician and looking for a bar to play the piano or a listener?

Jazz Bars, Piano Bars?
Hi,

I'm new to the area. Does anyone know of any Jazz bars or quiet piano bars / late night coffee houses in the area? I'm from London where most places are open late and soho has lots on offer... ideally i would like to find a nice quiet place late in the evening to play the piano or listen to some good music

Thanks
