I have found his children and I daresay you know who they are so I won't paste the information here, but it gives me a bit more to work with.

Sometimes it requires a rethink of the information you have. Is there a chance that whilst he may have lived in Mancetter for most of his life he may not have actually been born there? Do you have any information regarding their descendants - perhaps his children and grandchildren that might help?

I have a week off next week, so will have a look at this one and see what I can come up with.

can anyone help? my ancestor william cooper born c 1742 birth or baptism cannot be found in parish records - all it has is "of mancetter" i tried parish records for all mancetter area , hartshill, ansley, tamworth, atherstone, nuneaton, etc and no luck! i know he wed alice jeffcote in mancetter and the line continued around that area, anyone have any ideas? with thanks c.
