Thanks all for replying.
Jebbo, your Alfred Baraclough is not directly related to me but is in the wider tree. I believe his parents were William Baraclough and Phoebe. William was one of six children of John Baraclough and Ann Hinch.
This John is a bit of a mystery but I believe he may be a son of my 4 x great-grandfather Samuel Baraclough who came to Nuneaton from Derby around 1764. I will e-mail you direct with more info.
Regards
Glyn

I have had a quick look for Baraclough, Warwickshire in the census for each period from 1841 and I noted the variations you mentioned.

Have you checked the census from 1841 as well?

Baraclough Family History
Hi there,
I am tracing my Baraclough ( & variations ) family tree starting in Nuneaton circa 1764.
If anyone out there is related then please get in touch.
Also I would like to know where to find Nuneaton wills prior to 1858.
Glyn
