I really see a big future in these micropubs. No music; good beer; a few newspapers and a cosy club like atmosphere.

Far too many pubs were ruined in the 60s and 70s when all of their rooms were 'knocked into one'. These days the pubs are usually far too big for the clientele, so the micropub could readdress things.
