Saturday crossword. Easy clue... Little ball Cryptic clue - Female in France amid exercise has little ball. Presumably the answer is Pellet, but I can't for the life of me see that in the cryptic clue. Saturday crossword.

Thanks for your vote of confidence! I like doing crosswords and find them challenging.
Here is a famous one from the Times from many years ago (I'm sure you'll get).
The clue is gesg - two words - nine letters and four.

Crossword Clues
A clue from a crossword a while ago, and still can't get.
It is seven letters, and the straight forward clue is Liquor, and the cryptic clue is, Mood not induced by drinking wine?
