This is a big fad in the corporate world at the minute as part of ESG - Environmental & Social Governance. It's the cause of many a managerial headache.

Exam board relocates 230 staff to Coventry office
Quote:
OCR, the UK exam board of Cambridge University Press & Assessment, has moved to a carbon-zero-ready office in the centre of Coventry.

Currently employing 230 people in Coventry, the firm moved to IM Properties’ Bourn building in April.

The Bourn is 100% powered by a green energy tariff with additional renewable energy supplied by photovoltaic panels in the parking area. Other features include bike parking and a maintenance station, along with showers and changing facilities for cyclists.

IM Properties has also incorporated charging points for 16 electric vehicles, with the ability to install more as the use of these vehicles increases and located for green travel options, just two minutes away from Coventry train station and multiple bus stops.

Jill Duffy, chief executive of OCR, said: “Coventry has been an integral part of OCR’s success from the very beginning and our new office is a commitment to a long and sustainable future here.

“Our priority is delivering for schools and students around the country, and these offices give us the modern environment in which to do that as efficiently as possible, while also significantly reducing our carbon footprint and enabling modern hybrid working.”
