I suspect the council didn't get the best end of the deal.

The words 'behind closed doors' never resonate well with me.

That might not be the original purpose, Margaret, but it could well end up being the case!

My mum was born on Abbey Street.

Seriously, does Nuneaton require a hotel in the position? There's plenty around the outskirts.

If they do it'll be the first time ever! Yet another opportunity for their publicity obsessed CEO to get her cute picture in the local press?

I have never liked Nuneaton-it gives me uncomfortable nasty vibes. But- years ago it was quite a dirty miserable place.smelling of gas and decay.
Now, the shopping area is modern - well-modern in a sense that it looks like everywhere else -Best two things about it is the excellent market....And the road out.
I still get that feeling.

Sounds a lot of money, but in reality it won't go far.
