If the CIO don't seem to be able to sign the lease for the hall. If they can't do that, the venue's future is looking very bleak: https://www.coventryobserver.co.uk/news/notice-served-to-bedworth-civic-hall-cio/

That seems to be a thing with local authorities - if someone else does it better, they try & make like difficult for them out of spite.

According to one friend of mine, the authorities did an awful lot to try to sabotage this happening. Good luck to all those involved, and I wish them every success.

Looks like the centre's reopening in April. £2 million funding will give the CIC a boost, if they get it: https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/local-news/opening-date-confirmed-bedworth-civic-28375464

My mates haven't mentioned anything about these latest revelations. It seems to be becoming farcical, but the undercurrent that it was a done deal is concerning.

That next meeting might be a little 'interesting'. I wonder if any of my mates are going? I'll have to ask around.
