Driving around Coventry and Warwickshire you will occasionally see some unusual sights. But it's not often a superhero's car is seen whizzing around.
But this is exactly what happened on Friday night when residents in Warwick saw a familiar sleek black car on the leafy and quaint streets of the historic town.
The Batmobile, made famous by DC Comics superhero Batman in various publications, cartoons and film franchises, was unmistakable in its presence in Warwick. One resident who saw it was Dan Summerton who managed to grab a photo too.
He said: "I thought it looked absolutely brilliant, and the fact it was parked up meant I could have a proper look at it. It was original to say the least."
But what was it doing here in Warwickshire? The answer came from another resident, Jennifer Tabb, who also managed to capture the sight.
She said: "It was at my son's prom at The Warwickshire hotel in Honiley. One of the lads arrived to prom in it. It was a definite photo magnet for everyone!"
