My Granddad was a POW twice! (I never learned the details of his escape from his first incarceration.) The only thing I do know is that he taught other POWs English. - I guess it helped to pass the time?

My dad was a POW in Germany but never discussed it.

My Granddad came back, he was one of the lucky ones. But he never spoke of what he'd seen.
