That used to be true to a certain extent, systems do cross the Atlantic, but not as often as they used to. As long as it doesn't get blocked by another system we could see is effects, although somewhat weaker.

Am thoroughly hacked off... the one afternoon I could have spent creating my snowman I was unwell and being outside would have been the worst possible thing. Friday was perfect for making my snowman :-(
