A few years ago our local club ran a charity night for one of the air-ambulance groups. I don't think we even got a letter of thanks.

Kind of makes you wonder doesn't it?
These days I usually refuse point blank to give to charity. Only a very small fraction of what's given seems to get through to the cause.
That article paints the management of the charity as a complete bunch of clowns. - If the cap fits...
