Such a clever man, it is a sad loss. R. I. P. I was privileged to have seen the ' Not the 9 o'clock News ' team at the theatre back in the 80s. Superb all of them but I can't remember if Mel was one of the cast- I think he was. The whole place was filled with hilarious laughter with tears running down faces from start to finish. Its been a long time since that level of entertainment has been around.
