I know a lot of people like that; people who think we can bring back our old glory days, and refuse to admit we've been a fading power for the last century. Although we can still be a player on the world stage, we con only hope to be a 2nd rank country after the likes of the USA, Russia & China.

My personal values are to work hard, take responsibility for your life & actions, show compassion but don't let people take advantage.

Many are really harking back to the days of the empire when we foisted our 'values' on the world because we knew best! Of course, we had to give up the empire as a condition of the USA entering the war alongside us.

I think our values, like our culture are rather fluid and constantly evolving. I only ever object to this evolvement when it becomes a 'step change' rather than a gentle movement.

British Values
This is something we've all heard politicians talking about for years now, but they never seem to com up with any. What are British values, and are they still relevant in the modern world?
